Missing my Mom.
Today I wrote the date in a chart at work and my breath caught it is my Mom's birthday. I lost my Mom almost five years ago after a brief illness. She went to the hospital and never came home. She told my Dad before they left for the hospital that she wouldn't come back home. Strange how some people just know. Sometimes when I look in the mirror I see her smiling back at me. And, as I age I think my hands look more like hers except she had beautiful long, polished nails, my nails are neither. My Mom did beautiful hand work so to celebrate her and the add my craft to hers, I used the dresser scarves to make a two memory quilts. One for me and one for my daughter. It was good therapy to make these quilts. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM. I MISS YOU.
