Look the ceiling is in.

As we left, Joseph was finishing the ceiling. Wow what a difference it makes to having the store look finished. Still more painting and cleaning and getting the floor down, and sewing samples, and finishing a couple of for pay projects. and go to quilt market and....*sigh*

Eliza Bliss Esme

Eliza's quilt is done and in the mail. Woo Hoo! Congrats Christian and Cara.

Dinner at Gordon Biersch and Wicked at the Fabulous Fox.

We had dinner at Gordon Biersch, great garlic fries, good beer, and great company.
Ah, Megan and Drew, looking adorable.

Robert and I, man feel like I am looking my age. And this was before we got home after midnight. (sigh)

Pat joined us for dinner and the show.

Here we are, looking dapper. I borrowed, Megan's wrap, so I could look semi dressed up, because though I brought my dress, I forgot shoes and my slip. So, I had to wear my jeans. Bummer. We enjoyed Wicked, we laughed and tried to sing some of the songs. I thought that the ladies who played the leads of Elphaba and Ga-lenda were fabulous! If you get a chance go see it while it is in Atlanta.

Flu shots.

Megan and Drew giving each other flu shots.

Drew giving his very first shot to his sister, with a little coaching from both his mom and his sister.

Megan, in true Mullis women fashion sticking her tongue out when she is concentrating.

How we spent our summer vacation, or our Saturday afternoon.

I must be concentrating, as it looks like I have my tongue sticking out. Today I got two quilts quilted, the one behind me which is Eliza's baby quilt, and the scrappy red hearts. I also got the binding sewn on the front of Eliza's quilt so I can work on it in the car tomorrow, on our way to Atlanta to see Wicked.

This is the scrappy heart table runner. I quilted swirls in the borders and quilted around the hearts. Red thread in the red fabrics and white thread in the white fabrics. It was fun fun fun. I also got Margaret Ghettis' quilt on the frame so I can quilt it on Monday.
Robert got the tile all finished and the fixtures in place in the bathroom to get ready for the final inspection, which will hopefully happen next week.

He also got my cool desk from The Blue Magnolia set up and the file cabinet in place.

All of this after a great breakfast at our favorite greasy spoon The Whistle Stop Cafe. Woot!

The sign is lit.

The electricians finished up today, including getting the sign lit. Won't it be great when it says Quilt Shop on the Corner.

It is Well With My Soul.

Today, I feel like I am walking in my own strength instead of resting in God's
I love this song and today it is ministering to my heart.

Interesting night shot.

It will be fun to see what it is like when we scrape off all the paint on the windows.

Scrappy heart table runner.

This is what I worked on during the mini-retreat. I got the borders sewn on it today. Having the hearts with the points facing eachother, was a happy accident. Since it is a table runner I think it works. Shelvy, suggested a tiny black border which I thought was an interesting idea. You can't tell it, but it has polka dots. I like it. I also got the rows sewn on one of my "for pay" t-shirt quilts. Hopefully the rest of it will get done this week and I can get it, the hearts, Eliza's baby quilt, and Margaret's star quilt quilted next weekend. Might as well dream BIG.

Happy Birthday Drew.

Emaline's first birthday made me reminisce about my kids first birthday. So, here is a picture of Drew on his first birthday. Then I thought might as well throw in few more for good measure. Happy 19th birthday Drewby.
